A Cause for Celebration

Wedding ringsI’ve not been around much lately due, in part, to continuing preparations for Christmas, having flu – that I’m still trying to shake off – and spending time with my Other Half as he enjoyed his much deserved annual leave.

I did manage to take in our grandson’s school nativity play last week – a splendid performance that brought more than a few tears to my eye – and was delighted to have my entry, Granny Smith, longlisted in one of the recent competitions I’d entered: The Yellow Room Autumn 500 word Flash Competition. Phew! That was a mouthful! Unfortunately it failed to make the shortlist, but it’s progress all the same.

Oh, and one other thing that kept me busy last week… I got MARRIED! Finally, after over ten years together – most of them enfianced – we made it official. It was very intimate and low-key with just the two witnesses, but exactly as we wanted it much to the chagrin of some, I might add.

So I’m ending the year as an old married lady, once again… and I’m feeling good. Think that could be your cue for the finale, Nina!

Congratulations Julie, now we are really connected as you are officially my sister-in-law, YIPPEE!!!!!!!!

  2. Congratulations, Mrs Julie! I’ve only been married for 34 years and it’s been good so far. And also congrats on hitting the Yellow Room long list. I’ve tried that market several times and never got as far as that.
