I’ve not been around much lately due, in part, to continuing preparations for Christmas, having flu – that I’m still trying to shake off – and spending time with my Other Half as he enjoyed his much deserved annual leave.
I did manage to take in our grandson’s school nativity play last week – a splendid performance that brought more than a few tears to my eye – and was delighted to have my entry, Granny Smith, longlisted in one of the recent competitions I’d entered: The Yellow Room Autumn 500 word Flash Competition. Phew! That was a mouthful! Unfortunately it failed to make the shortlist, but it’s progress all the same.
Oh, and one other thing that kept me busy last week… I got MARRIED! Finally, after over ten years together – most of them enfianced – we made it official. It was very intimate and low-key with just the two witnesses, but exactly as we wanted it much to the chagrin of some, I might add.
So I’m ending the year as an old married lady, once again… and I’m feeling good. Think that could be your cue for the finale, Nina!
